Audience will be invited to participate at the great and magnificent party taken in June of 1942 by the Prince Torlonia to inaugurate the two twin obelisks dedicated to his parents.
Guests are welcomed at the entrance of the Villa by two special guests, one popular literate the other, but both in love with Roman adventures: Belli and Stendhal, accompanied by two beautiful ladies.
During this party you will hear many rumors about the Torlonia family has become so rich and powerful and at the same time what people think and say about them, how their money is used to represent power and art as social redemption.
The public will be involved in listening to indiscretions and anecdotes about avarice and cunningness, about intrigues of the Torlonia's that tie them to popes, kings and nobles in a vicious cycle of money and power.
The guides divide the crowd into two groups and lead them into two parallel paths along the avenues of the exotic villa. The two groups will join on the steps of the Casino Nobile where they will enjoy a dance performance.
Then the public will again be split along the sides of the building to attend two different representation. On one hand a show about noblesse, on the other a scene about the working-class. Both showing a papal Rome still and nestled, at the first half of the nineteenth century, while the rest of the country prepares to unity of Italy.
(In a reverse path the two groups will exchange position to see what they do not have seen yet).
Gathered behind the Casino to attend a live concert with Rossini music - a composer dear to the Torlonia's - where the fountain with its water games and the pink obelisk are a beautiful background.
